The Shallows was released a few months ago in June of 2016. The story was based in Galveston, Texas. It shows how a young medical student is caught in a very dangerous situation and how she plans to survive after several injuries and unfavorable weather conditions with very limited resources. This drama/thriller film definitely “serves up plenty of thrills and scares,” mentions Chris Agar (The Shallow Review). Tamia Miles, UME junior, tells that her favorite part of the movie was when Nancy found the shark around the rock. That is when the film begins to become intense. It starts all the thrill.

The Shallows has you at the edge of your seat with sudden scares and jumps. It hooks you in at the beginning and doesn’t let go. The intensity rolls through the whole movie without end.
