Are you the type of person to set up your Christmas tree before Thanksgiving? Are your lights still up after New Year’s? Maybe it is time you learned some Christmas etiquette. Etiquette is “a prescribed or accepted code of usage in matters of ceremony” as defined by Dictionary.com. People that break the rules or do not have any etiquette are considered very rude.

Christmas is a special holiday and by putting decorations up too early or by being lazy and not taking them down on time you are ruining Christmas. Christmas decorations should go up no sooner than after Thanksgiving and come down no later than New Years. When asked about the people that do not follow this etiquette Sarah Hall said, “They need to understand how the world works and stop living in a daydream.” She also said that they need to get it together. By not following these rules you, are being just plain rude and nobody likes rude people.

Please don’t ruin this special time by being rude or lazy. Christmas is about giving people joy and gifts and not the feeling of annoyance. Have some manners and don’t ruin Christmas. 12/5/16

THE FACTS:
