It seems like everyone has a phone these days. Teens are the main age group that use phone’s on a daily basis. Whether they’re on it for texting, or taking pictures, high-tech phones have become a worldwide phenomenon for the past few years. Apps that are available on the phone, are what make the phone so phenomenal.

  

 Phone apps can be defined as many different things. There are apps that are games, apps for the news, and apps for social media. Social Media apps are extremely popular in today’s society, and used by most of today’s teens. There are many apps used for social media, but the most popular app is definitely Snapchat.

 

“The Piper Jaffray study "Taking Stock With Teens" polled about 6,500 U.S. teens to see what they felt was the most important social network, and Snapchat took 28% of votes. Instagram came in close-second with 27%, followed by Twitter and Facebook.” (Mashable.com)

 

Snapchat is an app allowing the user to message or send pictures to your friends. Users can also post pictures or videos on their “Snapchat Story," so all of their followers can see it. Snapchat is definitely a new, unique type of app, and will be used by many for the next few years. 11/14/16
