Throughout our lives we all yearn for the feeling of being accepted and welcomed into a group where every individual is an important piece in a puzzle of comradery, and there is no better place to find those things than within a team sport.

The team dynamic and trust found within team sports are impressive, and one of the best examples of such can be found within our own UME Prep volleyball teams.  When one brings together a diverse group of individuals varying in age, grade, and skill, you probably wouldn’t expect for them come to together so well and so quickly.

So one might ask how is it that this strange gaggle of players became so unified? The answer to that question is the JV and Varsity volleyball coach, Coach J.

 

Coach J is our newest coach at UME prep and has taken the volleyball teams under her wing, she has a long history of coaching DISD teams and even coaching club. Coach J is described by her athletes as a tough love coach who would do anything for her “babies,” as she so likes to say. Under her leadership our volleyball teams have grown into a solid unit and with luck our teams will pave the way to victory for UME Prep. 10/5/16
